Autumn In New York......
I live in upstate NY....well, not as upstate as say, Saranac Lake or Watertown...I'm even south of Syracuse....I guess it's more generally known as the Southern Tier...in the Finger Lakes. I live just about on Cayuga Lake...the longest of the Finger Lakes. I'm from southern NJ, and it's sea level. Period. I thought when I first came up here that Ithaca was in a mountainous area....and I was a bit fearful....not liking heights. But umm...lthaca has hills....granted, some kinda steep...and some of them you have to drive....but I have gotten used to it...and don't have too many qualms about it anymore. When autumn arrives, and you drive some of the off roads, or even some main roads...you see the gorgeous colors of the trees....dotting the hills with oranges, reds, and yellows...simply magnificent.
